A man who tried to cross Kutuzovsky Prospekt on his bicycle has died after being hit by a car, traffic police reported Tuesday.
"At approximately 3:20 a.m. the driver of a Volkswagen ran into a cyclist in the area of the seventh kilometer of Kutuzovsky Prospekt, across the street from the Wedding Alley of Poklonnaya Gora [memorial park]," a police press-service official told Interfax.
He specified that the cyclist had been trying to cross the busy road and was hit by a car in the third lane.
The man died as a result of his injuries.
Police are currently trying to identify the victim. The man was estimated to be aged between 25 and 30, Interfax said.
